The primary aim of our group [PPG] is to encourage a positive and constructive relationship between patients, the Practice and the community it serves,and to ensure the practice remains accountable and responsive to all its patients' needs.

Our group is in the process of being affiliated to The National Association for  Patient Participation    

Our group key roles are:-

  1. To provide an avenue for patients to make positive suggestions about the Practice and specific medical conditions as an ‘expert ‘or experienced patient
  2. To encourage health activities, health promotions; preventative medicine and healthy literacy within the practice
  3. To develop self-help groups
  4. To act as a representative Group which can be called upon to influence the local provision of health and social care
  5. To bring a sense of partnership between Practice and patients
  6. Provide constructive two-way feedback on patient and community needs, concerns and interests
  7. To be of practical help during busy surgery hours i.e. flu clinics
  8. To explore the ever changing needs of patients
